Origin & Heritage

Built around the Friday table

In 2021, a small group of neighbors gathered in a living room to share a Friday meal, break challah, and discuss how traditional Jewish rituals could feel warm, inclusive, and unpretentious.

That single dinner sparked a neighborhood movement. Today, Beit Or Hadar coordinates communal meals, cultural workshops, and holiday circles that bring together lifelong observers, interfaith families, and curious seekers.

Our Core Values

Four principles guiding every gathering

01 / Open Hospitality

Pluralism without pretense

We honor rich heritage while welcoming all Jewish identities, interfaith partners, and curious neighbors. Every seat at our table is equal.

02 / Accessible Life

Zero barriers to entry

Community connection should never depend on formal dues or strict prerequisites. You are welcome exactly as you are.

03 / Shared Heritage

Warm bread and conversation

Rituals come alive through active participation. We learn together, question deeply, and build genuine friendships through shared meals.

04 / Sustainable Continuity

L'dor v'dor in action

Passing tradition from generation to generation requires creating living cultural experiences that anchor our modern neighborhood life.
